Investigation on Synthesis and Evaluation of Nanopore NaA Zeolite Membranes

Abstract: Effects of synthesis parameters on the membrane structure and performance have been investigated for nanopore NaA zeolite membranes grown onto seeded mullite supports. Molar composition of the starting gel of nano NaA membranes was: SiO2/Al2O3=0.8–3.2, Na2O/Al2O3=1.6–4.6, and H2O/Al2O3=50–200. Also, effects of crystallization time and temperature on the membrane performance were studied. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the membranes exhibited peaks corresponding to the support and the zeolite. The crystal species …

Preparation and Evaluation of Nano pore Faujasite Membranes

Abstract: Nano pore Faujasite zeolite membranes were synthesized by in-situ hydrothermal method on porous ceramic tubes. Hydrothermal crystallization was carried out under an autogenously pressure and at a static condition of 100 oC. Molar composition of the starting gel of Faujasite zeolite membranes were NaX: SiO2/Al2O3=10-27, Na2O/Al2O3=4-9, H2O/Al2O3=250; NaY: SiO2/Al2O3=2.5-4, Na2O/SiO2=1.08-2, H2O/Na2O=30-200. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the membranes exhibited peaks corresponding to the support and the zeolite. The crystal species …

Catalytic hydrogenation of dimethyl-nitrobenzene to dimethyl-aniline over Ni catalysts

Abstract: The catalytic transfer hydrogenation of dimethyl-nitrobenzene (DN) to Dimethyl-aniline (DA) was studied in the temperature range 343–403 , pressure range of 4–10 bar H2 and ethanol as solvent using Ni on alumina-silicate as catalyst above agitation speed 800 rpm. The substrate feed concentration was varied in the range from 0.124 to 0.745 kmol/m3 while catalyst loading was in the range 4–12% (w/w) of dimethyl-nitrobenzene. Dimethyl-aniline was the only reaction product, …

    Hydrogenation of dimethyl-nitrobenzene to dimethyl-aniline in a three-phase Reactor

Abstract: The liquid-phase catalytic hydrogenation of dimethyl-nitrobenzene (DN) to Dimethyl-aniline (DA) was carried out in ethanol using 5% Pd/C as a catalyst. The effects of hydrogen partial pressure (400–1000 kPa), reaction temperature (343–403 ), catalyst loading (5–15 g/lit), speed of stirring range (200-800 rpm) and dimethyl-nitrobenzene concentration (0.12–0.75 mol/lit) on the hydrogenation of dimethyl-nitrobenzene and the yield of Dimethyl-aniline have been studied. Dimethyl-aniline was the only reaction product, generated through the …
