Abstract: To predict the compressive strength, various failure criteria studied in this article include are Tsai-Wu, Hill, Hoffman, Maximum Stress and Quadratic. The quadratic failure criterion has been implemented using PATRAN Command Language (PCL). Is observed that quadratic failure criterion provides least failure indices, employed for conservative design.
