Biosynthesis of Silver Nanoparticles using Aqueous Extract of Chaetomorpha media (C.Ag.) KuetzingBy Anusathya Priya P., Iniya Udhaya C., John Peter Paul
Abstract: Chaetomorpha media (C.Ag.) Kuetzing is common green seaweed belongs to the family Chlorophyceae. The aqueous extract of Chaetomorpha media was used for the biosynthesis of Silver Nanoparticles. The Silver Nanoparticles were formed due to the reduction of silver nitrate to aqueous silver ions in the presence of seaweed extract. Silver nanoparticles exhibited dark brown colour in aqueous solution. The synthesized silver Nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform Infrared …

Green synthesis of Copper nanoparticles using Ctenolepis garcini (Burm.f.) C.B Clarke.By John Peter Paul, M Sakunthala
Abstract: Copper nanoparticles, due to the excellent physical and chemical properties and low cost of preparation, have been of great interest in wide applications as heat transfer systems, antimicrobial materials, super strong materials, sensors and catalysts. The present study is a novel biological approach for the formation of copper nanoparticles using Ctenolepis garcinii (Burm.f.) C.B Clarke. Copper nitrate was made to reduce with aqueous solution of plant extract. UV-Visible spectrum showed …
