Abstract: Empirical model of sediment yield equation was applied to develop the sediment deposit monitoring equation of the Sani-Abacha road culvert. The culverts were selected based on field observation of continuous overflow, road overtopping and channel contraction in the course of heavy storm due to sediment built up within and inside the culvert barrel.
