  Novel Approach to Improve Stack Effect in High Rise Buildings

  Abstract: This paper aims at improving stack effect in high rise buildings using an innovative approach. Parameters influencing stack effect in high rise buildings are identified based on standard theory and practice. A new draft number for estimating stack effect in high rise buildings is derived using Buckingham-П theorem. Airflow data of a university high rise building is considered in estimating stack effect.
