Solid Slab Railway BridgeBy Birendra Kumar Singh
Abstract: Different types of railway bridges are employed based on the span and width requirements. For smaller spans, solid slab bridges are utilized. In cases where a larger span is necessary, steel girder bridges become the preferred choice. When dealing with a wider river, trussed-type bridges are employed for railway applications. In trussed-type steel railway bridges, half of the load is supported by the trussed members, with only the remaining half …

ASSESSMENT OF FOUNDATION SIZE AND REINFORCEMENT USED FOR FOUNDATION BASE OF PIER FOR STEEL GIRDER RAILWAY BRIDGE.By Birendra Kumar Singh
Abstract: The analysis of foundation size and reinforcement is conducted with respect to the overall load exerted on the foundation base. This includes considering the load imposed by trains, the weight of the girder, and the pier. To ensure the structural integrity and stability of the foundation base, M25 grade concrete and Fe 500 grade steel are utilized. In order to counteract bending forces, 20 φ diameter steel bars are incorporated …

ASSESSMENT OF REINFORCEMENT FOR TIES USED IN PIER FOR STEEL GIRDER RAILWAY BRIDGE (TWO TRACKS)By Birendra Kumar Singh
Abstract: The load on Pier will be taken into account due to the load of train and load of steel girder. The pier has the tendency to buckle. The permissible lateral displacement is taken as 10 mm. The moment caused due to the applied load on pier is P x e where P is the load acting on concrete pier and e is the lateral displacement of pier = 10 mm. …

DETERMINATION OF MEAN VELOCITY OF FLOW USING FINITE DIFFERENCE METHODBy Birendra Kumar Singh
Abstract: The objective of the study is to establish the optimal method for determination of Mean velocity of flow. The values of hydraulic parameters such as Channel slope, Discharge of flow, Mean depth of flow and Mean velocity of flow are obtained in laboratory observations. And the value of mean velocity of flow is obtained using the finite difference method. The comparative analysis is done between the theoretical and practical observations …

Comparison of Mean Depth of Flow Obtained by Maximum Permissible Velocity and Adam–Basforth MethodBy Birendra Kumar Singh
Abstract: The equation is formed for mean depth of flow and mean velocity of flow with respect to maximum permissible velocity and maximum value of Manning’s roughness coefficient. It is found that the mean depth of flow obtained from maximum permissible velocity provides nearly equal value compared with mean depth of flow obtained from 0.75-inch roughness bed flume data. The depth of flow obtained from Adam–Basforth method provides nearly equal value …
