  Abstract: Among metals, silver (Ag) and gold (Au) NPs have attracted significant interest owing to their extraordinary optical properties related with the localized surface Plasmon resonance. However, the main drawbacks of colloidal nanoparticles, making them barely useable in the photovoltaic field, are their low colloidal stability.
